After many years working with Automation and Control Systems, I now teach the subject across various level of qualification. Most courses are fast paced, with a mixture of practical and theoretical. I’ve come to the conclusion that a lifetime of exposure to control systems, is very different knowledge to that required to teach it, especially in terms of the theory.
A practicing engineer, long out of full time education, has a wealth of experience but may have a lack of deep knowledge.
